“Children are a gift from God.” Psalm 127
As first in a series of three “Fathers’ Day Blogs,” I am blessed to pay tribute to my Grandfather, Dr. Martin Luther King, Sr. who saw me in a dream three years before I was born. That prophetic dream gave me life, against the odds of a threat of abortion.
I also thank God for my Prolife Father Rev. Alfred Daniel Williams King, Sr. and my Prolife uncle Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. You can read more about them in my book, How Can the Dream Survive If We Murder the Children? or in my testimony at my website.
I am very mindful of the thousands if not millions of fathers who wanted to overcome the abortion of their babies, the onslaught against their seed, but were powerless to do so.
Then there are the fathers who agreed to or even urged that their babies be aborted; sadly some fathers even went further and coerced or perpetrated abortions. Many now regret that “choice.”
In a new blog, Kevin Burkes examines the intricacies of A FATHERS’ HEART. Read his blog HERE.
Fathers and Mothers play a vital role in the lives if their children. We give due justice in celebrating Mothers’ Day. We should do the same for Fathers. As we approach the holiday, let us pray for all fathers, that God will bless and help them to fulfill HIS will for their lives and for their children.
